While most folks couldn’t wait to give their opinion on the recently completed transfer market, I decided to take the international break off. Now with the best league in sports starting back up tomorrow, I figured it was time to go over my grades for each club’s summer. Feel free to comment, criticize and praise below.
Notable arrivals: Nadir Belhadj (Lens, loan), Jerome Thomas (Charlton), Armand Traore (Arsenal, loan), Younes Kaboul (Tottenham), Peter Crouch (Liverpool), Ben Sahar (Chelsea, loan), Glenn Little (Reading)
Notable departures: Steven Davis (Rangers), Pedro Mendes (Rangers), Sulley Muntari (Inter Milan)
Grade: B+. Peter Crouch is still a quality striker that should thrive with regular first team action under Harry Redknapp, plus Pompey didn’t pay the Reds valuation for him. Muntari’s loss will hurt.
